The VTD Full Form in the Share Market is Valid Till Date. This is a type of trading order where the investors will set a specific trigger price at which they want to buy or sell the securities. Such orders will remain active for a long time until the trigger price is reached, irrespective of the time it takes.

How does the VTD feature work?

When an investor places a VTD order, they are giving an order instruction to the IIFL, stating that if the order is not executed, the IIFL can place fresh orders for the unexecuted quantity on the subsequent trading days, until the validity expires or until the entire quantity is executed. The VTD order will remain valid but expire at the end of every trade date if the order remains unexecuted. At the end of the trading day, the IIFL will place overnight orders for the unexecuted quantity for the next trade date.

A trader can view the details of the VTD orders in their account under the equity order book. They can also visit the order placement log on the order book to get the details of the orders placed by IIFL on the unexecuted order quantity.
